能代市母体に鎮座する八幡神社です。創建は大同2年（807）、坂上田村麻呂が東夷征伐の際、宇佐八幡宮の分霊を勧請し戦勝祈願したのが始まりとされます。御祭神は応神天皇、宮比大神、大名持命、少名彦命。社殿及び棟札は能代市指定有形文化財となっております。
