The experience was shoddy and unprofessional from the start. An aggressive member of staff shooed everyone from counter service to the self-service machines. She then fired instructions while at the same time talking to another customer and a colleague. Her tone was something like someone instructing s dense child. I had very important documents to post and wanted a trained post office clerk to help me. So I went to the Post Office at the other end of Beeston where they have counter service and where you can feel confident in their competence. If I want to buy a packet of cornflakes I will use a self service till. If I want to send something important I want a trained member of staff. The Post Office should be ashamed that it has sunk to this level.

I went last Friday around 3 pm. Had unprofessional attitude from one of the staff. She was angry and aggressive when I didn’t know the difference between the first class and the special delivery which made me upset. I had to pay for the first class delivery stamp and then the special delivery and she didn’t bother to return the money for this mistake which obviously was because of her poor assistance. Staff of the post office needs to know that not everyone is familiar with the self service and the way they sort the posted parcels. When it comes to important documents like passports they should help and provide guidance, which is part of their job. It was not an accepted attitude at all and if I didn’t have another appointment I would rather spoken to the office manager. Very disappointing
None of the staff know how to tax a car ! This is the only post office in Beeston that should be able to tax cars. But the first guy insisted we needed the log book with the new keepers slip to tax it. Which we didn’t have at the time as just bought the car. The second time we went the woman’s response “I can’t do this for you you’ll have to come back tomorrow”. We wasted a lot of time in ques and coming here to tax our car and haven’t been able to do so because of incompetent workers. Sort it out Post Office.
Only one member of staff on a busy high Street post office. Extremely long queue only to find out that they can't help you. For a shop like this I expect at least enough staff to help with your needs.
I keep going back to them for over 10 years now. They are all very helpful. I do miss the lady who has retired recently. I can't recommend them highly enough.
