Well maintained grass courts which are generally in very good condition. They have a nice consistent bounce on both sides & at each end of most courts, with little difference from one court to another. They have some great updated club rooms with all the expected & required facilities. The club rooms are centrally located & their elevated position gives spectators a great view of & across most of the courts. The players from the club (all those that I’ve played against anyway) have always been very open & friendly, with a great ‘laid back’ attitude towards the game, & the week’s matches. Typically they are more concerned about the ’social’ aspects & ensuring everyone enjoys the day, rather than the final result. This doesn’t mean they’re not ‘competitive’, &/or don’t ‘play to win’, they just do so without taking the game (or themselves) too seriously...& unlike some clubs/teams in the local comp, you’ll rarely hear mumbling about line calls or similar at Numurkah.
