I'm so glad I found this place online as I would never have thought to visit from just walking past! This unassuming little restaraunt nestled between a nail salon and pet shop is a real hidden gem. Beautiful food, the FRIENDLIEST service and a great atmosphere complete with swinging 60s soundtrack. The presentation was Michelin quality... but with \proper\ sized portions! The smoked haddock scotch quail eggs and baileys creme brulee were our food highlights. Wish it were a bit nearer home so we could come back and try everything else on the menu!! Thank you for a great meal.

I will get it off my chest now. I really wanted to try the Bistro food menu items, but this wasn’t available on the Saturday afternoon. This, in many respects is a good thing. Why? After trying the afternoon tea at Anthony’s I mentally booked my return ticket to try the Sunday lunch and the evening bistro menu food. The attention to detail of the quality food produce was exceptional. I loved every aspect about Anthony’s from the humble, salt of the earth, homely service. The cute, family run atmosphere of the bistro. The small interior touches and detail that added interest and raised a smile. It’s no wonder the restaurant is packed out. Most were there to celebrate birthdays; I could see why. You don’t feel like a customer, Anthony’s takes you to heart, you become part of its extended family. I left paying pittance for an experience that was above and beyond my highest expectations. This is my favourite bistro. If only there were more places like this. I do hope in future there is an uprising by food lovers. An event where we all kindle our BK’s, nuke our nuggets and blacken our Big Macs. Bring real food made with passion back to the masses. We need more Anthony’s Cafe Bistros in our lives.
Nice meal, shown to our table and gave us all the COVID instruction. Food was really nice starter and main were well presented. Didn't have desert but one of our party did and it looked superb. Overall venue is nice but small, and very bright for a dine out meal. Maybe need a dimmer, but that's just me.
We can highly recommend Anthony's Bistro, excellent food, wonderful staff and fab venue. Many thanks for making a very difficult day a little easier. Jon and his staff catered for our dad's funeral, this was carried out with respect, kindness and courtesy. Sharron and family.
Fantastic food. Lovely bistro run by two local lads. Meals freshly prepared when ordered. Couldn't fault the three courses I had. All waiting staff very pleasant.
