This place is hidden inside the hotel. Hotel name Kapitan Kongsi hotel. And the food is really good. The uncle is not IT tech. So he asked to help out. Past 5 years his shop is hidden beneath the hotel. No much sign board of his shop. Come try the food and he make special cooking for vegetarians by request also.

Absolutely awesome. I don't like Asam Pedas but at Nyonya Lin's, I absolutely fell in love with it. A must try in my books the Pineapple Prawn Curry. Also I love love the side dishes. The cincalok is a must and the Acar Timun - OMG, to die for!!!! Do not leave the restaurant without trying the cendol. Also do make sure to buy the whole bucket of gula melaka - words fail me. If I stayed in Melaka, I would be there every dinner time! Sorry not a lot of photos, we were too busy eating. Maybe next time . Shout out to Daniel, who took care of us fabulously.
RMCO. Sat 19 Sep. After the family photo session, we decided to come to this nyonya baba resturant here for early dinner. The entrance to this eatery is via Kapitan hotel lobby entrance. The decor has a more modern nyonya theme. We were seated on two separate tables and order our favourite nyonya dishes and desserts. Ayam ponteh, ikan chilli garam, cincalok omelette, cendol etc. The service crew is courteous and helpful. Prices are reasonable. Parking bays are usually difficult to find on weekends.
Nice deco interior, delicious food, not much table, located inside kapitan hotel, nearly missed the restaurant coz the signage of restaurant not really visible
Good rich authentic nyonya cuisine. We ordered the assam pedas fish, rendang chicken, prawn mask lemak, cincalok omelette & kankung bellman...every dish was executed perfectly...the cendol was the best finish to our meal..the astehetic of the place pleasantly beautifully...decorated wt old school artifacts...highly recommend this place.
Brilliant, possibly some of the best Nyonya food I have eaten and I have eaten many. Malaccan Nyonya food is richer and slightly heavier in taste, and this is an excellent version of it. Everything was on point.
so far best nyonya food in melaka for me,is like a hidden gem,quiet and nice cozy place,love the pongteh chicken and chili garam fish,chendol was lovely!good service provided from the lovely staff!thanks we do enjoyed our dinner there!
