I don't even know where to begin... This property went beyond anything we could have ever expected. For starters, the views are breath-taking and the hotel is very romantic, but what really amazed us was how genuinely incredible the service is. Staff greets you by hand-shake, they make a true connection with you and you can see it's natural, not something imposed on them. Service is also quick and efficient. We had so much fun staying at Canaves because of the people there. The staff and also the guests. It's a place you never want to leave and I can't wait to go back. Food is really delicious and very well presented. I suggest doing a wine tour if you have time and also cruise to see the surrounding areas of the volcano. I can't wait to go back to Santorini and stay at Canaves again. I've been to many top hotels in the world but this is truly something exceptional. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Stunning property with two swimming pools with the spectacular views of the caldera! Soak up the sun on the sunbeds in the infinity pool with the views of Caldera! Simply amazing! Spacious rooms, many with plunge pools overlooking the caldera. The breakfast was delicious! The best bread basket with pastries, croissants, donuts you name it. Staff is one of the hotels biggest assets - extremely polite, friendly and helpful. We also used the spa and had a wonderful massage. If you visiting Santorini, stay in Oia. It is the most stunning little town that lights up in the evening, with pristine white cave buildings, white clean streets, small boutiques and many restaurants to choose from. We had one the best and the most relaxing holiday. We are definitely coming to Oia and Canaves hotel!
The hotel has amazing views of the ocean and also of Oia town. It is in a great location to go and visit the town and it’s many restaurants and bars. A particular highlight was the breakfasts - my favourite dish was the truffle scrambled eggs. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that we were visiting on honeymoon and the hotel didn’t do anything extra special for our special occasion despite being aware. I felt this was a slight lack of service for a 5 star hotel. Especially as during our stay I saw the hotel do a free birthday cake and candle for another guests birthday - something which happens every year as opposed to a marriage which happens once!
A nice and modern hotel for a romantic stay in Oia. Each room is a separate house, so you really have your privacy. On the top of that, Canaves Oia has really a spectacular view on the village and Caldera. To highlight good things: spacious rooms with modern bathrooms. bed and pillows are very comfortable. good location: Canaves suites are in the heart of Oia, yet you still get some privacy. amazing view, especially from the Petra Restaurant restaurant and food are getting 10/10: delicious dishes and dedication to your diet (staff was very attentive to the allergies that I have). Additional kudos to hotel manager George Ioannidis. George is definitely an experienced professional when it comes to communication and customer experience. Some minor things to mention though: - although the room is spacious and nice, terrace was very mediocre. I guess, I wasn’t lucky with it, as I saw some better terraces at Canaves. - some items are overpriced: e.g bottle of water is 8 and standard bottle of Moët is 160. But as mentioned earlier, the kitchen is amazing, so overall food in a restaurant is delicious.
Magical place to stay, service was impeccable, food was delicious and views breathtaking. Entire staff was friendly and helpful, especially Desi, George and Maria, they granted all our requests!! Celebrated my wife's birthday here and we will never forget it, thank you! Only minor recommendation I would make is to restock the room water bottles.
Amazing hotel with great views! The suite was very spacious with private pool and stunning views. The staff very polite and the breakfast delicious!
Where should I begin? The staff, Katerina and George at the front desk were extremely helpful. We were 2 couples staying at this property for 2 nights and they upgraded us to the best suite they had (pictures attached). We needed reservation for couple of places and all we had to do was informing them and they would take care of everything. The view and location is spectacular and breathtaking. The food was amazing and a bit over priced but I won’t take any negative point because it is expected from this property. What I really appreciate is that the staff went above and beyond to make us happy. Would I want to extend my stay here? Hell yea! Would I recommend this hotel? Absolutely! The hotel really made justice to the name it carries. Despite some issues we faced during our stay, Mr George, the hotel manager, was more than helpful and resourceful making sure that all our concerns were timely resolved. There are no words to describe the service and the proactivity. The room was also amazing with brilliant view of Caldera and a pool in the perfect water temperature. The same goes for the breakfast and the view from the dining area. All in all a perfect experience that is fully recommended. We will be definitely coming back.
