Some of the staff are nice and many of the activities they gave us were helpful and actually fun at some points. Biggest issue is they tend to treat the non Eating Disorder kids (For those who are confused because this is labeled as an Eating Disorder Recovery center, they take kids who don't have eating disorder's but have other mental health issues as well) like an afterthought. I seriously think they created their entire system around Eating Disorder recovery and shoved the MATTER (non-eating disorder group) in later when they realized it could make bigger . If your child fits into MATTER criteria I HIGHLY DO NOT advise sending them here as it's common that they will end up with Eating Disorder behaviors or a FULL ON EATING DISORDER! They prioritize the hell out of the Eating Disorder group and have strict rules for them so they don't get worse. However for the MATTER kids, while there are rules, they treat them more like guidelines and don't really pay attention to them as much. My daughter actually ended up worse than when she came in and many of her friends who have gone here under MATTER have come out with an eating disorder. She claimed every time she was there kids would be openly upset about the treatment of the MATTER kids versus the Eating Disorder kids. TL;DR: Please do not send your children here if they are not going to be put in the Eating Disorder Group as the Center really lacks in effective treatment for those without the disorder. Your children will most likely end up with eating disorder behaviors as it's common enough that the kids who have been there before talk about it all the time. This place seriously needs some rework.

Before they would admit my daughter for treatment I had to pay for 12 sessions, she needed to be discharged after 5 sessions. I have been getting the run around from them for over 3 months on refunding my money. I now had to hire an attorney to get my money back. All they care about is money. I did have my daughter admitted somewhere else that billed the insurance company first then sent me a bill for my portion of what was owed, they cared more about my daughter getting better than having money up front.

This place was great, but I didn't like that towards the end of my stay they only gave me two options: discharge or residential. I also very quickly relapsed, which isn't their fault.. but I wish they gave me more support when I chose to discharge.
