Delicious and cheap, what more could you ask for? I recommend the taro and coconut breads. (although as a big taro fan, I could always do with more of the purple filling!) Overall, texture was great, sweetness level was perfect, and the price didn’t stop me from buying plenty for all my friends as well. Pork buns can be reheated in a toaster oven, but they all tasted best fresh from the store!! Places like these make it easy to support our local Chinatown in this time!

Wow, excitingly different. You will wonder where I place like this ever came from oh yeah Oakland. Where else you going to get such an assortment of breads and cakes and birthday cakes too

Not just a hidden gem: a nearly invisible gem! Behind the unassuming doorway lies a wonderland of tasty baked treats, in a huge variety. Make a point to come check out this Oakland treasure

Average Chinatown dessert price. Has one of the best cup cakes! The mini cup cakes contain egg yolk and is has a tender, juicy, and wonderful taste. Definitely a must go.

Great food with great prices even for China town standard. Business is still brisk despite pandemic. You tell the people behind the counter what you want, they pick them up for you real quick. A few people in the line on marked pavement outside but the line moved very fast when we were there. Support your local business. CASH ONLY is the only drawback. But I am not going there as a tax auditor.

From the outside, you would never know this place was in business. But once you're inside, it's hot fresh food, friendly folks even on a busy Sunday, and an operation that is clean and efficient. Folks know this place and drive miles to cue up for tasty bao, egg carts, sponge cakes. Lots to choose from. Just go and see for yourself. You will love it.

My father brought me here since I was 4, always bought my birthday cake here.. I was treated very rude like everyone hates a Mexican. It was very sad to see the same ladies that once smiled at me, looked at me like I was trouble. Maybe they didn't recognize me growing. Anyways.. just had a bad experience, and I feel race had alot to do with it. I won't be coming back, ever.

I really want to love this place because their baked goods are priced well and taste good. Pineapple buns and gai may bau are loved by my kids. Custard tarts are okay but the one place on Grant Avenue in San Francisco are superior. The one thing I really dislike is the trashy entrance and packaging along the left side of the bakery's interior. It doesn't give me a feeling of cleanliness and thus 3 stars. 4 if it was cleaner.
