My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Chung for many years now. He and his staff always make us feel welcome, but more importantly the dental care we receive is outstanding. Their preventive care keeps our teeth clean and healthy, and when needed, Dr. Chung’s expertise in restorative and cosmetic dentistry is top-tier. We’ve lived in many cities across the country and we always travel back to Virginia to Softouch Dental Care for our dental needs.

I went here for a second opinion after a bad experience with a dental implant at another oral surgeon. I was in terrible pain and the site was badly infected. I told him that the other oral surgeon had unexpectedly used a hammer and nails to try to hold in the bone that was added to my jaw. I told Dr. Chung that it had been a terrifying and painful experience. His response was to say that it was "so cool" that the doctor had used a hammer and nails. I left, the pain in my right ear and jaw continued for weeks more, and I wound up with permanent tinnitus in my right ear. I did not feel as though Dr. Chung cared about me as a human being in pain at all. After all I went through, the bone added all fell out and I have a missing tooth.

I have had bad experiences with dentists my whole life. When I moved to Northern Virginia, I knew I wanted to take time to research and find a good dentist. I saw Softouch Dental Care’s ad in a Washingtonian Magazine. I figured I would give it a shot and check it out. I called for an appointment and was greeted on the phone by a happy, upbeat voice, named Melissa. She scheduled me for an appointment within the week. When I arrived for my first appointment, I felt like I had walked into a spa. My fears of being in a dentist office had left me. I was elated after my first appointment that I had finally found a dentist that made me feel comfortable and actually cared. After having some way overdo dental work done with Dr. Chung, he called me that evening to make sure my mouth was feeling OK. I don’t think I have ever had a Dr. call me to see how I was feeling. I was very impressed! I have now been going to Dr. Chung for 4 years. I cannot express how pleased I am with his practice. The friendliness, cleanliness and professionalism of the practice beat any dentistry I have been to in the past. I would definitely recommend Softouch Dental Care’s services.

I have been Dr. Chung's patient since he opened his practice at the Oakton location. Over the years, Dr. Chung has replaced, when needed, my gold crowns and amalgam fillings acquired in my youth with bonded ceramic overlays. The process was painless as Dr. Chung thoroughly numbed all sensitive areas. On one occasion, he ordered and installed a replacement crown at no cost to me because I thought the tooth felt "odd". To date, none of my ceramicly repaired teeth have required any further dental work. Another example of Dr. Chung's patient-oriented service is when one of my old gold crowns fell out just prior to my leaving on an overseas vacation. There wasn't time to order a replacement so he installed a temporary crown, cementing it in such a way that it wouldn't come out even though it would make it more difficult for him to remove it on my return. He even gave me packets of cement to use in case it did come loose (it didn't). I highly recommend Dr. Chung and his staff since they do have a "softouch" and do very high quality work.
