Didn't learn much. Got about 10 calls and emails after trying to upsell us. Which we knew was apart of paying the little amount we did for the promotion. Told us not to practice at home. If I only have two private lessons I would like some idea how to utilize it as much as possible and not be coaxed into paying 130 an hour for private lessons which we did get pretty much for free with the promotion. Nice people. Just the head office must put very aggressive sales policies on them and I feel bad for them for that. Sales on my opinion is about providing a great non invasive experience for a trial and it being so good the prospect will come back. If your harassing a prospect for a sale. Something is wrong with your product or service. We would have happily came back but the harassment in calls and emails was just way too much to make us feel comfortable to come back. I gave one extra star because they were very kind when we there. Just the opposite when we weren't.

This studio is amazing. I have been going for a few months now and my confidence in dancing has dramatically improved. Everyone their is fantastic, they always put you first. They are flexible and very understanding. The community that has been built here is wonderful, dynamic and very positive. I highly recommend signing up with Fred Astaire Oakville be it as a couple or individual like myself. It is most defiantly worth it! HAPPY DANCING

At Fred Astaire, one doesn’t merely learn a skill, one learns culture. From the moment one walks through the door, one is walked to the dance floor, arms linked with an instructor, as if to escort one to another world. Then for the next 45 minutes, one is transported to a place of pure bliss and rapturous joy – whether it be through an instructor’s corny sense of humour or a lesson on history and pop culture. Over a short period, one would meet several others who show up every week to explore a new version of themselves on this dance floor. Over time, one would see that they speak a language through their movements, express the truest of their ideas through their figures, and feel the purest of their emotions through their steps. Within weeks, one would’ve performed a brief routine in front of fellow dancers and dismantled all of her long-held notions of her body’s limitations. What seemed to be a spontaneous act of walking through a door would become a life-altering decision. One would continue to return to experience this culture, to speak this new language and witness the exaltation her forefathers did on the dance floor, where everyone is equal and free to laugh and move to their heart’s content. The ‘one’ could be you. See you on the dance floor! Jinisha Fred Astaire student since Apr 2017

Extremely aggressive in sales and cero interest in how do you feel in the classes. In my case, I went with my husband to learn Latin dance. I’m a Latina and I know how to dance so we were interested mostly for him. The trial classes were a complete disaster and very disappointed. Other couples in the same dance floor with loud music that wasn’t latin was the atmosphere to learn Latin dance. Very difficult even for me. How can you dance without even having the beat? I told the teacher many times to change the music to merengue or salsa or something close but she refuses because there were other students as well so I guess I was the only one that have to adapt and sacrifice my time and effort listening to tango while trying to learn salsa. Doesn’t make sense at all. Definitely not recommended!!

I had a really fun and insightful intro class with Joe today- looking forward to the next class. Choosing to learn dance for me was a whiff of the moment decision but looks like I am going to like this one
