I get very upset when I see bad reviews, I am not a patient at oakwood lane, but I had to ring them today to check on my covid injection due on Friday. 1.Reply time getting to speak to the receptionist was excellent. 2.The person that dealt with me was very courteous and professional. Credit where its due.

Such a slick operation for the covid vaccine. Really impressed and all the staff were lovely and helpful. Thank you!

Been with this practice for over 18 years now and in total probably been able to book in around 3-4 appointments and only when I've said it's an emergency. In all fairness the doctors are lovely but this gp's is clearly over capacity and isn't functioning at all. Although the nurses and the doctors are absolute stars the reception team can be quite rude at times but I'm sure they get some really tricky people on the phones so once again can't really blame them.

Wasn't worth 1 star! Called to try and make an appointment for my 9yo Son. Asked if it was an emergency for today. If it was an emergency then I'd hang up and dial 999 as per your operations manager irritating and repetitive messages... absolutely loves the sound of his own voice! Advised to call back the following day to try again, or complete an appointment request online. I tried online but the questions you asked did not cover my son's needs which are mental health related. I was advised choose the next best option... which one would you recommend? I was very pedantic and somewhat petulant, but why don't you look after children's mental health issues? After a lengthy debate, I opted to try for the 'e' consultation... to my surprise I wasn't authorised to proceed as I am not registered with the surgery and never will whilst they clearly fail to meet the principles of the NHS. I had requested a call back from a more pragmatic representative from the surgery and advised this would happen, but couldn't offer me a day or time when. Later that day... Received a call from a nurse out of the blue... after being repeatedly told absolutely no appointments... why lie to me? I wasn't able to go into detail as I was at work and not in a private place. Quite literally one of the worst service user experiences ever. Once able, I will definitely vote with my feet and join a more caring surgery... probably the same as where I am registered. Diabolical reception staff who think they know best!

The doctors are fab, if you can actually get an appointment. Working people have no chance. You can not book an appointment in advance, you have to ring on the day and now they are reducing the hours their telephone lines are open. They did open at 7am, they now open at 8am. Well done Oakwood Lane Medical Practice you have achieved your goal of being a joke!
