This was one of my best golfing experiences to date. I am an ex pro from South Africa who lived in Florida for 4 years...in have played a lot of the worlds best 100 courses including The Bears Club, Seminole, PGA National, Augusta National, Gary Player Country Club, Fan Court Links, Glendower and many more. Playing at Garmisch is rated up there with the formentioned clubs as the course design is really good and challenging as well as having a greenkeeping staff to maintain the course and really bring out the best in its design. The fairways are good enough to play the ball down and the greens were running at 10.5 on the stimp. The course sits at the base of a mountain face with natural rivers and streams flowing through it. if you are in the area and want to experience a round of golf on a good layout, super well manicured and breath taking golf course then this is definitely the right course to do it on.

Welche Superlative genügen um einen solch tollen Platz mit Zugspitzblick zu beschreiben? Ein grandios vor Garmisch gelegener Platz mit Blick aufs Wetterstein. Wie toll ist es doch als Golfer immer an die schönsten Plätze mit tollen Blickwinkeln zu kommen. Das Spiel war natürlich die Hauptsache und der Platz vom allerfeinsten. Mit den Grüns hatte ich so meine eigenen Probleme, da es leider wie überall die Herrschaften der anderen Flights noch nicht eimal schaffen kartoffelgroße Pitchmarken auszubessern. Aber dafür kann die Anlage Oberau nichts. Anspruchsvolle Abschläge, etwas bergauf und bergab, aber alles zu meistern. Tolle Fairways mit schönen Baumbestand. Alles in allem mal wieder ein gelungener Tag im Paradies. Wir kommen wieder.

Leider aufgrund der Corona Pandemie geschlossen. Aber die Anlage hat einen guten Eindruck auf mich gemacht. Ich komme wieder hierher.

Sehr schöner, gut gepflegter und anspruchsvoller Golfplatz mit atemberaubenden Panorama. Wir haben für 70 Tagesgreenfee 36 Loch gespielt. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar.
