A memorial commemorating the tragedy of 1936. At that time, a 27-member group of 12-14 year old boys from the English School was lost. 5 young men died in high snow exhaustion. There is a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. More about the tragedy is written on the board in the right part of the memorial.

Bei prima Wanderwetter auf dem Schauinsland die Gipfelrunde gelaufen und sehr genossen. Für alle Planer: die letzte Talfahrt ist um 17 Uhr, die mittlere Gipfelrunde dauert mit 4,2 km ca. 1,5-2 Std. Wenn man sich das Bergwerk oder den Schniderlihof (Museum) noch ansehen mag, ordentlich Zeit einplanen. Es lohnt sich
