What a fantastic Museum ! From a plane’s lover view its the ideal Trip. It’s located 20 minutes from the city center of Munich so its pretty easy to reach. The museum is pretty huge and there is a flight simulator from aerosoft which you can book. There is also an RC Plane simulator that is available at any time. In the last part of the museum there are also a few planes that you can actually see from the inside. There are a lot of toilets through the museum but there is no restaurant. Overall we payed 13 for two adults and one child. A great visit !

Amazing museum - one of the few places where you can see the interesting Messershmitts of WW2 - 262 and 163 or the early jet engines (including an impressive cut-away revealing how advanced it actually was for the time). Wholeheartedly recommended to everyone interested in aircraft and engineering.

Great place! Numerous planes, including huge ones, helicopters and even a space rocket. Several places for children to play. You will not be disappointed.

A really superb aircraft museum, made all the more special as it's where some of these aircraft were based. From the late 1800's gliders to the Eurofighter, it's all here. There are also personal stories here about the men and women who were stationed here and flew from this airfield. There is a small cafe here, food is limited but nice. Being outside Munich it's in a quiet location which is good for soaking up the atmosphere. I also liked the large number of aircraft engines on display, some of which were cut away so that the inner workings could be seen. Leave yourself plenty of time, it's a fascinating place.

Totally worth visiting. Dozens of planes, helicopters, engines and even a few spacecraft parts. Their store inside the museum has some nice stuff for aviation enthusiasts.
