The hotel is tidy with nice rooms, many with hardwood flooring. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. The food is very good and freshly made. Drinks, however, are a bit pricier than usual.
Very cozy! All very nice! The breakfast is excellent!

Hotel is located a little outside of Oberstdorf - about a 15 to 20min walk which is not far. Atmosphere *** Rooms *** Service **** Breakfast **** Wellness *** Atmosphere: The house looks very nice and traditional from the outside. In the inside for me there is no real concept of colors or design. It's all mixed up between green carpet red wall flowers above the bed and 3 different kinds of wood in the room which didn't give me the feeling of relaxation or harmony. Rooms: Rooms are okay. Everything was clean. Beds are a little saggy but I slept well. Bathroom was completely new. Service: Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel offers free tickets for the cable car. Breakfast: They have a huge breakfast with about 150 items. You get gluten free, your eggs fried by the chef and everything in different variations. Wellness: The massage I booked was great. The wellness area itself was sadly not as expected. The swimming pool looks old but they also offer a pond which is very nicely done and looks beautiful together with the building. Except the hot sauna all saunas were pretty cold and starter to heat up after entering. It took 15min to fell a little heat (okay they are low temperature saunas but my feet were cold...). After all it's a good hotel but for me I cannot recommend at if you really expect a 4.5 star hotel with super wellness.
