Didn't give it 5 stars because of all the \live shows/exhibitions\ the \aves rapaces\ (Wild birds) was the best and the one that wasn't that great was the sea lions as it lasted 20 minutes and they didn't show anything that your dog can't do at home... Taking your car to this place to get to all the different areas is recommended unless you want to bike or walk it for a challenge. Great spots all over the park to sit down in a shady area and eat your picnic food too. Overall great time!

Perfect place for animal lovers. Come here in the morning because you need the whole day here (they open at 9.30). The animals are treated well, you can see it - that's the most important.

This is an old mining complex converted to holding areas for animals. Very well done. Parking areas near each animal and walk to see them. The main route is a one way loop but there are plenty of crossing options to get back and see a critter you missed, no need for dangerous maneuvers. Shows for seals and raptors worth going to. All in Spanish. 5pm raptor showing a must. Sit as high up as possible. Very little viewable from the car so tough trip with little kids. Buckle up, unbuckle- repeat. Be very careful of other drivers. Closes at 7 pm just as the animals are beginning to wander around. Ideal time would be from 3:30 to 7.

The zoo is pricey, but includes the cost of the sky trams. We rode both tram lines and saw most of the park from above. It was beautiful!! The raptor show is amazing, and we enjoyed the short sea lion show as well. My boys, 8 and 6, and I had a great day!!
