What a great experience. Took my wife and 2 boys on the Wed open evening looking at the James Gregory Telescope and learning just a snippet about what it's used for and interesting facts about the universe through an open Q&A session. Saved a star for a planned follow up visit during term time where apparently there are weekly open evenings on Thursdays where the smaller telescopes can be used by members of the public for star gazing.
