This is the third facility our mom has been in and this is our favorite!! She is in the memory unit. It is always so clean and never has that ‘smell’. She is so well taken care of as they do her hair and even color her nails. The people are so nice and take care of them like it’s their own family member. We are blessed that she is here and we feel secure at home knowing she is in good hands. Thank you everyone there and God bless!!

Let me start by saying it's a daunting task looking for somewhere for your loved ones to be cared for genuinely, especially the elder ones and give you peace of mind the Admin's here from the start made it a welcoming and warm environment, Mr. Tyler when I walked in his office big smile, had all the paperwork in order and was already briefed before we arrived from the hospital, tho he was a Seminole fan (gator here ) I was able to overlook that lol due to his astounding character and professionalism, Mrs. Patty was amazing as well so it has been quite the journey 1 week at hospital and then walking into rehab, 1 month and half later my grandmother could barely walk to standing upright and walking, so from scares to relief from long nights and early mornings, the staff on the south wing was so attentive to her and their patients, everyone was always hustling and answering room bells and smiling, laughing and singing some were, and genuinely caring for their people, they put on big nice holiday events which the family was invited and encouraged to come, for Thanksgiving, and Christmas!. So I want to thank everybody involved, in her recovery her therapists April Dunbar and her team, Her nurses Camella and Lyanne and their team, CNA'S Daphne, Jessica, Megan and the rest of the south wing team! Her social worker Ms. Sarah, the behind the scenes family and friends, and extra special thank you to Ocala Health and Rehab again for taking care of my Grandmother and getting her physical health back. If you were questioning going because of something you may have heard in the past don't, just go see for yourself and least sit with the administration and take a tour. Ps. Sorry rest of crew I didn't get more pictures we still love you all.

My uncle was cared for at Ocala Health & Rehab for many months and only very recently passed away after a very grueling protracted illness. He was a Vietnam-era veteran with multiple complicated medical and psychiatric issues stemming from that service and so had been a very difficult candidate for long-term care placement. Ocala Health & Rehab took on the many challenges his care required with true compassion. They never ever gave up on trying to make his quality of life better and more comfortable, even when he no longer would or could speak for himself. There may be facilities out there with newer and shinier brick-and-mortar settings, but no way could they have staff with any more heart or true caring. It was always kept very clean and organized and never with that “old age home” smell many such facilities have. Our family will forever be grateful that my uncle lived his last days cared for by nursing staff Teresa, Megan, Rob, and Jennifer. They never failed to communicate what was happening to family who lived elsewhere on a daily basis during the last weeks. Our appreciation also goes out to Jami and Briana in Social Services, Patricia and Karen in Admissions, and Tyler in Administration. While no one probably ever wants to end up in a long-term care facility, if I or a loved one was in need of one, Ocala Health & Rehab would be my choice. These folks REALLY care about their patients.

They are just great people working at this facility. My mother has been here for three years, has been taken great care of. The facility needs more social meeting areas. But the lack of space is overshadowed by the great staff.
