Two years ago I went to the one in New Orleans. I rate it four stars. It was a very nice pleasant facility. And people there and the staff were very nice. I also have to say the food was excellent.

Was admitted to the lafayette location and it was hell i went in voluntarily and my primary dr ended up pcp me. So a 72 hr stay turned into 1 month. During that time staff were very unprofessional. The drs play mind games with you and yes insurance has a huge play in it the better the policy or policies the longer the stay. And they make up reasons to keep u longer. Its like your walking on eggshells to get out. I had a week added because they say i was to emotional. And they mentally screw with you . My kids drove a 1 hr to come visit me they waited til they got there let me look at them on the security moniter and told me they couldnt visit me so when i broke down from heartbreak looking at my children on a moniter the nurse wrote me up. I talked about their visit for days and not once they say no one under 18 can visit. My stay was so traumatizing i didnt leave my house for months and my depression and anxiety just keep getting worse but i rather lock myself away with my kids then be tortured with the idea i never know when ill go home or see them. So no thanks Oceans ill pass. And i wont refer my worst enemy.

My grandmother was placed here from a skilled rehab due behavior problems. She had been in and out of the emergency room and the skilled rehab but everyone knew her and her character so no one paid attention to the signs that she was using to mask her memory loss. Not speaking in the present or being aware of present things, any changes in her route caused disruption, hoarding and writing information everywhere but not being and keno find it, missing dr appt and so on. I hate it came to this but I'm glad she went to Ocean's. It was difficult for her and family being out of state we really didn't know. Just knew she was getting old. They took the time to speak to over the phone and give me whatever information I needed. They diagnosed her and they are very accurate. I'm glad my grandmother received the help she needs and we will continue to care for her. So once again Thank you Ocean's Behavioral Health Hospital.
