I had the pleasure to join Ed on a guided day in January within the Everglades. The fishing was tough following a recent cold-snap, and opportunities to sight cast to fish were few and far between. Ed worked hard to find feeding fish, and the tough moments of the day were forgotten after landing a trophy snook that was set up in the mangrove roots. I cast a \light bulb\ streamer to the bank and a large snook swiped at the fly, missed, then spooked. I threw the fly back a little further and his big sister ate, then the ride was on! Ed's instruction during the fight was calm and very helpful. We caught many smaller snook (12\-16\) and a sea-trout, but Ed worked hard to get me on a fish that I'd remember.
