震災当日、越喜来地区で避難中の高齢者を助けようとした大学生の瀬尾佳苗さんが津波に巻き込まれて行方不明になりました。ここに立つと海や生き物が好きだった瀬尾さんのことを色々考えさせられます(直接面識はありませんが)。
