They provide a tablet that would interpret everything in English. Try to notice the hands of the old folks who sorted out the cocoons in a tub of warm water, so smooth due to the essential oils that are produced by the larvae. Amazing!

Full of interesting information about history and silk production
Such a nice museum! I reccomend the english listening device but a good chunk of the information is in their english pamphlet. The staff was super nice. I met the head curator and owner of the silk factory you can walk through.
Cool little museum with two small gift shops and you can see people spinning silk. They had an English audio tour, but otherwise nothing except the names of things were written in English.
Foreigners can expect the usual \gaijin allergy

蚕糸産業の歴史がわかりやすく紹介されています。実演で糸を紡ぐ様子が見ることが出来ます。 当時の女工さん達の写真も見ることが出来ます。蚕糸産業の歴史の中で発展の動力となった女工さんの記録もあると良いなと思いました。 例えば どの辺りからどのようなルートで長野県岡谷まで女工として働きに来てたのか？その時の苦労話とかもビデオ等で放映出来ると良いけど年齢的にみえないか。
来てみたいと思いながら、なかなか機会がなく、やっと来れました。 分かりやすく、見応えがありました。 シルクを使った石鹸などの商品や、シルク製品などかなりお値打ち価格で販売させていました。
