Went in late afternoon so it was pretty slow. Was seated promptly and the food was great. Cooked on order. Had a couple of tacos...like street tacos, very delicious and reasonably priced. Only issue was when I was ready to leave. The waitress and hostess had disappeared so I waited a few minutes for them. Otherwise it was a great experience and I will definitely be back.

We went on a cold, icy Saturday night so there wasn't a crowd. Our server was polite and helpful but not the most attentive. Our food didn't come out quickly but it wasn't an extremely long wait either. However, the food was remarkably good. So different from Oklahoma Mexican joints. The flavors were fanatic, even the rice was delish! I can't wait to go back and try something else!
Service was horrible took way to long to get drinks and food.. My son got a corndog (he's 3 years old) they told us they were out of fries. We we're fine with that. Food came ask for ketchup for him. The young waitress then tells us they are out of ketchup. Finished our meal that was incorrect but trying to give them the benefit of doubt. As we were leaving I see 3 bottles of ketchup and mentioned it to them. The young waitress then says "well you should have gotten it your Damn self". The manager/ owner was right there and did not say anything to us or her. The whole place has gone down hill since it was taken over by new management. Would not recommend.
Average food and atmosphere, but there were a few things that set Chiltepe's apart from other Latin restaurants. The chips are served with a good salsa and a black bean dip. Also, the tortillas are made fresh in the restaurant and you can watch as they make them. The location is also a bonus. Located in the heart of OKC's Plaza district.
I don't know why it took me so long to try this wonderful place when it is so close to me. Recently finishing a big make over, this place now looks absolutely wonderful, and it is a lot bigger on the inside than I expected. They even have a full bar, which was a great surprise. The servers here were very attentive and a pleasure to interact with. The menu has a broad selection, with plenty to choose from, especially for picky eaters like myself. I expected a typical Mexican food quality and was blown away. The prices lead me to believe my food would be sub-par, but the dishes that came out were delectable. This will definitely become a date night staple for my wife and I.
Great authentic place right at the edge of the Plaza strip. Food comes out hot, fresh, fast, and flavorful in generous portions. Service is very attentive and prices are alarmingly reasonable. Get the lunch fajitas. My biggest complaint is the lack of parking, but that comes with a Plaza district location.
This was our 1st time visit and enjoyed it very much. I had a grilled shrimp taco & a grilled fish taco with chips & queso. All of it was very delicious. I can not wait to go back and try more food of the menu. Great beer specials, and taco Tuesdays.
One of OKC'S best kept secrets. My first time was for their Tuesday 1 taco special. The tacos were delicious the service was polite and quick. Amazing price for delicious food!
