Unassuming little spot with the friendliest owners. Sides are fairly standard, but the fish is one of the reasons why they’re award-winning. Batter is perfectly crispy & tasty without overpowering the fish - you can taste how fresh it is! Definitely worth the drive out from Calgary (4/5).

Even though my and my family were first timers at Mr Spud, the expectations were high. Two years ago we heard about this great little place in Okotoks and finally decided to give it a try. Honest menu , great taste and very friendly customer service. It is a little bit unusual for me as a customer finding club house sandwich and burgers in the same menu than wonton soup and fish and chips. But that was not a deal breaker.

Stopped in for an old comfort-food standby. The burger with its hand-made patty and inordinately addictive fries are a staple. The owners are always friendly and say hello as I'm passing by. This is an old favourite and I'm happy to see them still going. They were clearly taking sanitation very seriously as well.
Great local place, cant beat the fish and chips!! will be back!
