Came to Lals in January 2017 and had a wonderful evening with great atmospheric interaction with waiter as he served us with a respectful smile. However, I took my family today and the food was average, compared to last experience. The lamb chops were chewy and bearly came off the bone. The lady serving had no sense of welcome, not once did she smile. It was as though she wanted to serve you quickly so you can bugger off. It clearly says on Lals website, 'dine in from Monday - Thursday and get 15% off total bill'. The lady serving us completely denied it. And said "oh that was when we first opened". Then why does it still say in the website. Not Happy at all. Especially with the sad old romantic songs.

Really lovely food and owners. The restaurant looks very clean and has a very nice decor. Would definitely come here again if I didn't live 4 hours away!
One of the best resturants I have been too. The food was cooked brilliantly and the tastes of flavours were remarkable. The service was top class and the price was just right. I would definitely go back again and again without fail and would recommend everyone to try it to see the quality of service themselves.
Love it here. Really great food! More than just a curry house. Worth every penny.
Lovely tasty food and a decent portion. Excellent choice of different starters .. Good service. Nice cocktails too.
This is my favourite Indian restaurant and it feels so underrated! The food is amazing and the staff are absolutely lovely! Can't recommend this place enough :)
Food poisoning and allergy attack from MSG. waiters rude and hypocrite and dared me to write a bad review. Poor value for money and small portions, birmingham is full of good Indian restaurant, go somewhere else better.
Good ambience good food selection food service from kitchen a bit slow. starters good portion but mains could be better avoid mix grill smallest portion and most expensive I have had.
