After spending so much time & money at the Toby carvery Quinton my daughter booked this place for me, never again will I use Toby. The name has changed to ibis styles from travellers Inn, I must say the value for money is fantastic, rooms are really nice, good bed, fab shower & very clean. The staff are so friendly & nothing is to much trouble for them. Highly recommended this place & staff get %vote from me.

Not the nicest of stays. I suppose you get what you pay for but the breakfast was cold and not very fresh. The croissants were rock hard 10 minutes after the kitchen opened. We also had some extremely noisy neighbours. So all in all, we would look for a different place to stay next time. But then again, the price here is very attractive, so won’t rule out coming back here again. Oh, and the only window from our room was just out of this world. Have a look at the picture.

Now called the IBIS Styles Hotel. We stayed here on Friday the 17th of August simply to avoid a long journey home after a long day. The surroundings are uninspiring as its right near an elevated section of motorway but we only needed a room for the night and it was 45 Inc breakfast.. The hotel has just been refurbished and is modern in decor. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy but have clearly been refurbished to a budget rather than a standard. We ordered food and weren't expecting much as we were literally the only people in the bar at the time. To our surprise the food was actually really good and we all said how much we had enjoyed it. The following morning we enjoyed an inclusive breakfast of which there was plenty of choice.

Check in was fine and payed on arrival. As soon as the door to our room was opened however, we were sweatily greeted by the stench of an incontinent relative that happens to be unknowingly dragging the corpses of his several, beloved yet soggy puppies behind him. IT STANK. There were, what I can only describe as wood chippings evenly spread across the brown stained carpet, something that I am impressed was visible considering the lack of working bedroom lighting. Expecting the worst, I was pleasantly surprised when the bathroom light could compete with the flicker of a single birthday candle and went over to look at the ̶p̶o̶n̶d̶ shower. Previously intending to wash alone, I had not packed enough product to share with the nine newt-like insects that occupied the floor space so commenced their eviction using the shower head. Considering the absence of anything resembling a hotel room, I informed reception of my discontent and they, ignoring any chance of a refund or even a pleasant but empty apology, swapped the key for last remaining twin room. It adopted an identical layout but on first-glance, appeared to be a preferable alternative to the traumatic squat next door. Sheets were now covered in dust instead of red spots, towels were now present, albeit pre-used and although every fixture was either severely crooked or blatantly broken, it seemed like an upgrade in contrast. This was until I regained the use of my molested nostrils and the aroma of a dank gutter endured to mock me for the remainder of the night. Literally slept in my clothes because I felt too soiled to expose myself anymore than I had already. I'd rather have the money spent on a sledgehammer to shatter the front window and taunt by thrashing around in the fallen shards because it'd probably be more comfortable and result in less repercussions than my recent visit. You might think that I've exaggerated things in my review but it is disgustingly close to the truth, don't book.

Check in was good. Staff helpful and polite. I arrived around 1.30, and although check in wasn't officially until 2pm, they checked if the room was ready and allowed me to check in early (which was helpful as I had to change for a wedding!). Room itself was OK for a budget hotel. Could do with some TLC.. and a hoover around the ceiling edges to get rid of the cobwebs... tea & coffee facilities were OK, as long as it's just 1 person in the room... as a base overnight or a weekend trip that you're going to be out and about for most of the time, it works. If you're likely to spend a great amount of time in the room, not so much... TV worked, but it's only a small TV, so not worth more than being background noise... Bathroom was OK. Clean. Again, could do with some TLC. But it was clean, so always a plus!! Can't comment on the food as I didn't eat there... you can get breakfast, either continental or cooked, but they have to be ordered in advance I believe (or at least the cooked ones do according to the small sign in the room). I opted to go to McDonald's just across the way... One thing to be aware of is this is just off the motorway, and you could get other guests not giving a damn about anyone else and slamming doors and yelling till God knows what time (in my case it was about 12.30am...), so be aware of that! For a budget overnight stay, it was OK.

Room was to hot and the radiator did not have the temperature dial to turn the heating down. No mirrors in the room and no hairdryer in the room, like detailed in the facilities. Furthermore there was mold in the shower. On a more positive note.. new wood floor was nice.

For the money this hotel ticks a lot of boxes. More than reasonable given other larger chains in close proximity who's rate were double. Has a Gym on site which is FOC for residents. Food was good value for money, rooms are spacious but basic and have all needed\u200b amenities In the room. Iron/ fan/ tea/coffee. Perfect for those looking for a budget hotel.
