Functional Yum

As A 100% London/UK lad I love Fish&Chips havent really spotted anything that matches the UK scene until a visit here... Really good quality, Bright, charming and clean with a nice emanating scent of nicely fried, nicely battered and well served fish n chips Plus other optional delicacies..and a decent fresh counter as well for those on the \GO\.... Love it!

I love fast food when I am traveling, especially traditional fast food, you know those places that are clean and efficient, may even have a few outlets, but the food is the traditional food of the area. NORDSEE in Oldenburg city central is one of those kind of places. It even has side walk tables to eat on, what more can you ask for? It may not be the thing for everyone but I really like the marinated fish sandwiches in these places. I grew up just outside of Oldenburg in the 1950s and I remember waiting at the side of the road for the pickled herring cart to come by, it was horse drawn and had barrels of various types of pickled fish, that you could buy. My favourite was the Herring Roll-Mops, which is basically a flat piece of pickled Herring rolled up and held together with toothpicks. I have never gotten tired of this taste.

Good place to grab a quick bite. If you are a fish lover, this is the place to be in Oldenburg. Staff is really good.

Better than most in terms of flavor and freshness. But could improve, still has some of that taste of \fish\ that you do not find on fresh fish.
