I rarely leave 5 stars... the prices are not to bad, flavorful and quantity In your meal is more than enough. The taste is very good, would be better if the sauce on the pulled pork was deeper. All kn all very good. Would definitely go again next time we are in olds.

Great food, good portions, nice people. If you like smoked meat then I highly recommend The Pit in Olds. My pictures don't do the smoked chicken or the brisket any justice.
Food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich! Staff were very friendly and incredibly efficient. I would happily make the hour drive from my home to eat here again! I’ll be back!
Just in passing I seen the sign. No well balanced man can pass up some good smoked meat. So I made a stop.. And I am glad I did! The food was fantastic only topped by the service. I had a rib 6 pack, beans and corn bread even washed it down with a cold Corona. The food was so good I took a half pound of burnt ends home with me. Do yourself a favor and check this place out! I will be back..
It's a small little restaurant but great atmosphere, very unique. It really defines "little BBQ sandwich shop". The food is unreal. Every sandwich I've tried there is unbelievably tasty. Extremely tender meat and very juicy. My personal favourite is the schmoe sandwich. The fries r great with gravy. And the portions are very generous.
Easily the best pulled pork I've ever had, it was so yummy! The fries are perfectly crispy and full of flavor. We'll definitely be back.

Stopped at The Pit while passing through Olds. The Pit was listed as a Gluten Friendly place and boy they sure are! I had the Pulled pork sandwich and fries and the Girlfriend had the Brisket Poutine, both of which were amazing! When we arrived I asked about GF items and was told they have a dedicated GF fryer and GF buns for the sandwiches. The staff was very friendly, efficient and were eager to keep the GF separate from regular food. We will certainly stop here again on our next trip north. Thank you Pit staff for recognizing the GF community! It's not easy to find restaurants willing to dedicate equipment and time to GF, especially BBQ joints.
