Absolutely appalling customer service. I bought a redwood tree, the ceramic planter was broken in 4 places. The tree subsequently died while I waited 10 days for a replacement. This morning they sent me a new ceramic planter. What was I supposed to do put a dead stick in it? I was told in a incredibly rude fashion that Brussels Bonsai would not send me a replacement tree and that I would never be able to buy from them again. Luckily, and you should do the same, buy, through Amazon. Once I told Lisa about this she offered a full refund. I would never buy from these folks again even if I could.

My parents gifted me a ponytail pine from Brussel’s Bonsai. It arrived in a MASSIVE box—and I mean this thing was the size of a small refrigerator. When I opened it and removed the tree, I could see that not only had the tree been well-packaged, but it is an unusually old tree! Altogether it stands at about 20” from base to crown. The leaves are green and glossy, and it is thriving by my front window which gets plenty of morning sun. I’m excited to keep learning how to care for this little (or, not so little) plant friend!
I ordered a couple of trees that didn't make it along the trip due to the cold. It reached negative temperature and I believe the delivery company kept the trees in the truck overnight which caused them to freeze. I let brussel bonsai know what happened and they promptly replaced the 2 tree with some that would travel better in the cold. Some of the best customer service I've experienced!!
I ordered a 7-10 year old Golden Gate Ficus from Brussel's (Keep in mind this is a 50 tree). Upon unboxing I noticed about half the soil from the pot had fallen out into the box among the packing peanuts. The tree itself looked rough with a few newer leaves. I contacted Brussel's by email because they guarantee buyer satisfaction and as I'm sure you guessed I wasn't satisfied at all. I waited about 2 weeks for a response and never got one. I ended up deciding to call and speak to a rep. Lisa ended up answering the phone, I communicated the issue to her and let her know I sent an email and never got a response. She gave me her email and told me that I could forward my original email to her and she would take care of it. I did this and its been another 2 weeks and I still haven't heard anything. To say I'm disappointed in this company's customer service is an understatement. Buyer's beware they do not actually follow through on they're company guarantee of customer satisfaction. I will never buy anything from this company unless the problem is resolved.
I'm going to start right off by adding another 5 Stars to Google's rating system.... here they are....! I received a gift certificate from my daughter for Father's Day. Brussel's website and the certificate was very easy to use. Placed the order and it was shipped the same day. Very fast! My tree arrived 2 days later and it was damaged during shipping. I called and Lisa answered the phone, I explained the situation and she only asked for a picture. No other questions! She sent me a replacement very quickly and it arrived this morning in beautiful condition. What great customer care Lisa gives. I'm actually glad I had the opportunity to experience Lisa's customer care, how refreshing! I will be ordering more bonsai trees and supplies and you can be assured Brussels and Lisa will get every order! Thank you so much Lisa!
Ordered a bonsai tree from Lowes website and it came and lasted a week before all leaves fell off..... I saw the reviews on the Lowes site too late unfortunately. This has happened to many people.
Purchased a Fukien Tea Tree. It’s says 6 years old but seems older. It’s real nice and healthy with a fancy pot. I wasn’t impressed with the packaging but it made it ok and in a very timely manner. I will buy more specimens and continue collecting these amazing plants.
