Absolutely shocking service vintage tack sold at a premium price by an old boot ( no disrespect to Wellington boots) purchased a shabby or should I say shoddy cabinet for my wife and reluctant as I was due to the cosmetic damage I asked if it could be touched up and I was amazed to be presented with a tin of paint at an additional cost to which I declined poor service I would have spoken up however I was always advised to respect my elders so i did maybe time to retire perhaps . Possibly a course in customer retention is in order?

Yesterday I went into this shop to purchase a small sample pot of Annie Sloan pain, in Paris grey. I was about to exchange cash for said pot of paint , only to have a woman behind bellow ! Paris Grey. SHE !! , can’t have it! , I was completely taken aback my the rudeness of the person I assumed to be the owner. I would have expected, “I am terribly sorry but I meant to take that pot off the shelf” , and whatever excuse there was. Served with a bit of civility and manners , anything can be forgiven. No , the owner of this business had such a crass manners that she actually repeated , that SHE being myself couldn’t have it, she then proceeded to tell me whilst busily scrolling down her phone as if she was doing me a favour , that I could have it if she had not sent an email, I assume to a person that said pot of paint had been promised to. I think it’s a pity that this small business, so visible on the High street , should be let down by a poor business attitude. It’s a small town and one should remember that business reputation is easily discredited by poor customer service.
