Cozy place, great atmosphere, owners are really nice and friendly! The place is pretty small, only about 10 seats. I would say the sauce was a bit too sweet for me, but not complaining, I’m sure many people like it, but I would say I have had better. English menu available. Ooh and the beer was really nice (chilled mug)

You go for the food AND for the people. We had Okonomiyaki topped with cheese. So good!!! It was us and two tables of high schools boys, nice Japanese feeling. The best of all, was the chef and his wife. We get to talk a lot with my basic Japanese and google translate. I even got a present from the lady. We had a great moment there and would like to thank them again for being so nice.

I wish I could leave a review more than 5 stars. This is the BEST okonomoyaki in Japan, hands down. The couple that own the restaurant are beyond lovely, I can't even explain how generous their hospitality was and how incredibly skilled the chef is. I will come back to Onomishi just to have this again and again! LOVE!

Doesn't get any more local and authentic than this. Run by a happy and lovely married couple who speak enough English to hold a conversation with a bit of assistance from google translate along the way. Definitely worth popping in. We had 2 x ramen w bacon okonomiyaki and 2 x super cold large Kirin draft beers for 2,300 yen. All cooked on the teppan right before you.
