Clean, delicious, nice location, super friendly. I decided to stop by this place to have lunch and it was amazing. Highly recommend you visit here during your Shimanami Kaido riding.
For anyone doing the islands Shimanami Kaido bicycle route during the day, this is a great place to stop for lunch. It's right on the corner of the village pedestrian area (one of the few you'll pass on this route). The restaurant has a friendly and warm staff, and even though they don't speak much English they are super helpful and welcoming. The ticket dispensing machine has pictures of everything you might want to order (bento meals, with soup, noodles, ramen, etc) and all is Y700 or less in price. They also have Oden (tofu, radishes, eggs) boiling on a stove that you can select for Y50 a piece. And great Y200 ice cream to finish it off. Nice people, and a nice place. You only wish they could get more customers, being in such a small remote place - but be one of those customers!
