Free observatory that has a nice view of islands. There were a couple of small shops selling drinks and snacks. Good place to watch the sunset.

Wonderful and overall Onomichi view could be taken here! So it is a must go places of Onomichi. Besides、its is the 【Japan 100 must go places for Lovers】

5 stars for the beautiful view of the ocean from top of the hill. Rope way had a 40 minute wait to ride to the top so climbed. Can see a lot of old Japanese architecture turned into restaurant and quaint cafes. Unfortunately after a healthy climb, the menu at the restaurant at the top was all fried foods with no vegetables. Great variety of fried this and fried that at a very steep price 1200-1400yen per person. You can see from the pictures that the servings were small for the high price...so only 1 star.

Great view of Onoshima and the Seto Inland Sea from top floor. You also get an introduction to the cat mania sweeping this area as you climb the stairs.
