Update to add: They do in fact accept my insurance, I came home to verify immediately. They still lost my business. They just lost my business, I have never handled a more rude customer service/front desk representative than I did at this location this morning. I don’t know what her name was but she was very unfriendly and made me feel very unwelcome being unwilling to even talk to me about my insurance - instead kept asking “can you pay out of pocket? we don’t except that” Sewickley eye group is close at least!

Dr. Rodriguez is top notch, leaving me no doubt that my eyes are in the best possible care. I have a number of complications with my eyesight and he is infinitely patient with addressing my questions. I also appreciate his approach to caring for my eyes, as he’s always mindful of my relatively young age and keeping the big picture in mind. From an aesthetic standpoint it’s also worth noting that his practice has an excellent frame selection. Also, the entire staff has an in depth knowledge of contact lens options and will guide you toward the best possible option for your budget, eyesight, and comfort. Last but not least, the entire Optometric Care team is extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. You will not find a better eye care option anywhere in western Pennsylvania!

Dr. Rodriguez and his staff are the best! I started seeing Dr. Rodriguez about 5 years ago and followed him when he left the old practice he was with. I had been in a car accident and having lots of visual issues and was having a ton of vestibular and convergence problems. Because I didn't hit my head in my accident, I figured I was okay, but I wasn't. Dr Rodriguez figured out that I had post concussion syndrome, and helped me find a Vision therapist to help me heal and regain normal eyesight. Since then (4 years ago), he asks me every visit how I am. He has my best interest in mind, and always makes sure that my sight is perfect when I leave. He is extremely friendly and is so personable, which makes my visits enjoyable. His staff always greet you by name and never push you to buy anything. They are very helpful and compassionate, and their recommendation for a blue light filter coating for my glasses has helped my neurological pain a lot in this past year. I've always been a contact lens girl, but because they offered me this lens option last year, I wear my glasses a lot more often because they are so comfortable! I highly recommend Optometric Care. It's a comfortable and intimate setting where you are treated much better than the larger chain stores.

Overall, good experience. Dr. Harsh was great, very thorough, the woman who administered the first test was great. However, the woman at the front desk should not work with the public or near other people. She was rude to customers, myself included, and wildly unprofessional with her colleagues. Talk about a hostile work environment! Everyone else was great though

It was becoming increasingly difficult to schedule with my eye doctor in the North Hills. Optometric Care is just down the street from my house so I decided to give them a call. A real person answers the phone! There is no menu matrix to get lost in. Dr. Rodriguez is extraordinarily kind and knowledgeable. They have a smaller frame selection but I found a pair I absolutely love. I usually struggled to find something at my previous office despite their vast selection. This place is a gem and I’m so glad I switched.
