Upon arrival, I was greeted by a very friendly staff member. She was competent when ask about insurance billing questions and was able to explain what was covered under my policy. They have a wide selection of frames and they also helped me find a pair that was within my budget and look amazing. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend Atwal Eye Care to my family and friends.

I had an excellent experience at Atwal! The staff throughout the facility and during the process were both friendly and efficient. I was able to go through an entire eye exam and eyeglass section faster than anywhere else I went in the past. I recommend this facility and will be back in the future. Highly satisfied.

My 17 yr old daughter and I went there for our yearly vision exam for BOTH of us to see an Optometrist for a vision exam and prescription. Her co-pay was 10 on Independent Health. They wanted me to see an eye doctor and pay a 45 copay. I told them that my Fidelis Insurance says that exams are free. They replied that nobody takes Fidelis here, so I would have to be seen by a doctor. I stated that I can not see a doctor, because I also have NY Comp who covers my eye doctor appointments for an eye injury. I can only see an optometrist for vision prescription so my Comp Case would not be jeopardised. At first, she did recognize that Comp is listed on my charts for my eye injury, but then another girl started in the middle of the conversation. Then I had to explain all over to the second girl, Ann I believe, and the both double teamed me like I didnt know what I was talking about. Both talking at once. So I refused to be seen by them, but allowed my daughter to be seen since she wanted an exam. They directed all questions to her, and ignored my answers about her health. I am the custodial parent and she is a minor, but they ignored that. My daughter was unhappy and suggested we go to another exam elsewhere. Bad place to visit. Atwal was gotten so money hungry that he forgot that the patients are the ones who put him on that pedestal and their well being should come first. 0 out of 10.

Chose Atwal Eye Care because it said they accepted my insurance. Showed up, did my eye exam and completed it and the woman at the front desk said it wasn’t accepted here. I was extremely confused and very annoyed because prior to my exam they were rude to me. Two women at the front desk were EXTREMELY rude to me. I completely understand people have bad days but why pick a profession dealing with people if it’s not your strong suit. A friend of mine even said that the one woman was rude to her one too many times when she came in resulting in her switching eye doctors. This happened last month but I just had a family member go there two weeks ago and said the same thing. They were too busy discussing the latest Daily Mail articles instead of doing their job and being attentive to people in the waiting room. They were laughing and fine with each other but as soon as you walked up to ask for something their whole demeanor changed. Completely unprofessional
