The first time we passed the big sign Leaving Gillingham for Shaftesbury we were frustrated as it did not make it clear where to enter! I.E. we had to turn around. This time bingo as we planned just to visit this garden centre. Well worth the effort and huge range well presented. Staff attentive without being annoying. Specialist ranges and choice especially good for gift ideas. Prices about average and some discount lines. Cafe looks good though we did not use it. Well done

Nice place to visit. Lots of different things to look at like most garden centres now a days. Restaurant has a good range of food and drink as well.
Have been to the restaurant twice now and am very pleased with the food, very tasty, good size portions, and at a very reasonable price. Service needs to be much better though as I see the waiting staff standing around having a chat while my mother and I waited over 15 minutes for two diet cokes and then another 20 minutes for our meals, which were lovely by the way. Very happy with the food but not the service.
Great for gift ideas. A good range of garden plants and some lovely Christmas pots! Would recommend.
Really annoying that this place has turned into a clothing store! Rushed inside to find seeds and arrived at the place that they were usually kept to find rows and rows of clothing. The seeds and garden accessories are now shoe-horned into a small area. They used to have a good butchery, fresh and frozen food section which has now disappeared. Shopped there in September 2020 to buy a hose and selected one that was discounted as it was end of season. We were charged the full price which my husband spotted. The woman on the checkout told us it was our fault that we were charged full price as we did not point out that it was discounted! (a) Why don't they get a computer system that handles discounted items (b) She did not have to be so rude. Will not be shopping there again mainly as it is not really a garden centre anymore and don't want to put up with that level of rudeness.
