Very sad to see this :( we used to drop in from time to time on our way through Orillia and it was always a great experience. . .the food was excellent [and hot], the service spot on, and I loved the old car pix on the walls. Once we stopped by with our '56 Chevy Bel Air and took some pix in front of the diner which [darn!] was closed for the day. . .looked right at home :)

Great spot. Have driven by it so many times and was pleasantly surprised. Great nostalgia. Really tasty food for a good price. Jan is really personable and her staff too. Thank you for a convenient breakfast/ lunch place that isnt too busy. Judy and jack green

Great food, reasonable prices. Eggs were cooked perfectly, both the sunny side up and soft poached. Service was good too, even though they were busy, we got our food quickly.

My family always loves coming to Al & Jan's. The nostalgic atmosphere sets the tone for a wonderful experience. The staff are great and so is the food. A wonderful family-run establishment!

Stick to breakfast! Went in for breaky but the picture of their fries and burger made me change my mind. Fries in picture were homemade.. In reality they are not fresh but frozen fries. Disappointing. Waited for a table but that was expected. Good service. Friendly staff. Portion size good. Slightly above average cost for the quality of the food. Decent place.

Its a great place to eat, but be prepared to most likely wait for a seat. Its very busy here. The food is good and servers are friendly. Food comes out quickly and its reasonably priced.

Great place for breakfast but be prepared to wait on weekends for a table. Busiest from around 9 to 11. Great food choices!
