I find this office difficult to communicate with. This morning I left a message for my doctor. He did not bother to return my call. On other occasions that I have called to leave a message for the doctor or his nurse, I am asked to give a detailed explanation of what I am calling about with the person who answers the phone. When the nurse returns my call, she has no idea what it is about and I have to explain all over again. It's like playing Chinese telephone. On another occasion my doctor returned my call and I just missed it. When I called back less than two minutes later, I was told that he left the office and would not be back for three days. It was extremely important that I talk to him (to learn whether I had cancer or not), but his staff refused to page him. I had to drive 45 minutes to the hospital to get my own pathology report rather than the doctor taking two minutes to call me and tell me. (By the way, I DID have cancer, but my doctor's office apparently couldn't care less whether I was informed of it in a timely manner or not). I have found communicating with this office to be frustrating on many levels. Their voicemail system is the worst I have ever heard--you have to listen to repetitious messages, and there is no option to leave a message for a nurse. Staff at the front desk staff has told me they have received several other complaints about it, but it never gets changed. It appears this practice would rather inconvenience and annoy everyone who calls rather than pay to get a decent voicemail menu.
