This hotel was amazing even though it was under some heavy construction. This was the first time using our DVC so the other hotels have a lot to stack up too! We loved that there was too bathrooms and the rooms were huge! We were located very close to the buses, TTC and the main building. We enjoyed the smaller pool as well. The theming is wonderful and I truly felt at home!

My boyfriend and I recently stayed a weekend at the Polynesian Village Resort. We chose Disney because it's a short trip from where we live and for the endless food and entertainment options nearby. Booking online through Disney’s Vacation Club was so simple! We were able to view availability on a calendar (which was helpful in choosing which weekend to book), all information regarding safety measures was clearly outlined, and they had several bundles for discounted tickets. Upon arriving I was impressed with how Disney has adjusted during the pandemic; they’ve made health and safety a high priority. Lots of signage for wearing masks and social distancing, even markers on the ground in the reception and transportation areas. While walking around the resort, EVERY employee greeted us with an “Aloha!” We took advantage of the discounted tickets offered for Florida residents, and wanted to add the park hopper to maximize our time. An employee in the main Vacation Club building was unsure if this was possible, but rather than providing us incorrect information, he politely asked us to wait until he could confirm with another employee. I appreciated him stepping away to check instead of just answering us to get us on our way. During our stay, the monorail was temporarily closed due to construction. This was not a huge inconvenience for us because the main ticket center (with access to the monorail) is within walking distance. Something that was an inconvenience was the condensed menus with limited vegetarian options. Overall, we had an amazing time and I would recommend staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort if you’re looking for a relaxing weekend at a safe place with beyond friendly employees!
A Wonderful Disney Experience! A Heavenly Hawaiian Home! The Poly has such a warm and inviting island atmosphere. Prime location (close proximity to Magic Kingdom ), plentiful amenities (multiple restaurants to choose from, beautifully designed pools, comfortable beach chairs, Lilo's hula class, etc) and accessibility to the parks (the bus to Epcot, the monorail ride to the park is only a few minutes). There is also a part where they allow the kids to come up to learn a dance. The beach that goes along the lake side of the resort and continues to the Grand Floridian gives you great views to the fireworks. The lobby is so gorgeous and relaxing, the overall atmosphere of the resort is magic. It checks all the boxes that we are looking for on a vacation.
One of the best hotels of Disney it is super easy to get to magic Kingdom and the vibes make you feel relaxed. I totally love it
We have been there many times. As one of Disney’s prime resorts, it’s a good experience. Defiantly spend some time at the pool area if you go. Eat at Ohana when it opens. It’s a monorail connected resort, so it comes at a premium price of course. My wife @HeathersLG and I have a ton more content on Instagram (@Bobbymontg) or her blog Through Heather’s Looking Glass
Currently under construction during my last visit, the Polynesian is a favorite resort of mine although I've never stayed here as I am a local. When visiting, a stop at Trader Sam's is a must although during this challenging time it is not open. On my most recent visit I used the mobile order for Captain Cook's. Very easy to order and the pickup system worked very well. Seating outside of the venue was ample but I can imagine it could get busy.
Wonderful staff. Excellent views. Top notch. One of our favorite Disney experiences.
You feel like you are in Polynesia! Great! Pools are fun! You can order dole whips poolside. Friendly and safe lifeguards.
