A great place to stay when visiting Walt Disney World. The old south theme is well done. Excellent pool. Access to Disney Springs by boat. Many of the food court choice were a little underwhelming though. Not bad, but also not inspiring. I had a Cajun grilled chicken sandwich and while tasty it has been sitting in the warmer so the lettuce, tomato and bun were a bit soggy. As it was a Friday lunch time and not busy at all they probably shouldn't have been making it ahead. The bakery had some excellent looking cupcakes though and we had to come back for one of those. If you can swing the cost of this "moderate" resort, it is well worry it.
We were there two spring breaks ago and had a great time. If you like Mai Tais,this is definitely the place to go. The nightly music is fun.
Beautiful grounds and amenities with neat themed rooms that makes the kids smile. About the only thing I would change is the TVs. They are too small, not high quality and the remote and guide is horrible. As a frequent traveler I have found that the TV is more important than some might think. Sure we are out enjoying Disney World and greater Orlando, but we also have to start and stop each day in our room and TV comes into play. Everything else has been a wonderful experience.
The room was great. Very clean and updated. The only odd thing is shower curtain separates bathroom sink area with bedroom. Definitely a great choice to stay at Disney. Hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Bus is primary means of transportation, there is boat also
This place was great. We had a room with a 5th sleeper so the kids didn’t have to share a bed. The property was immaculate. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The cafeteria is basic, but well stocked and clean. The pool area is full of fun decorations with a slide. I am very pleased with my stay.
Great place to stay! Awsome amenities! Try the fishing hole! I caught nice size bass! Great pool area which makes you feel you are actually at new Orleans
Beautiful resort that has boat service that takes you Disney Springs and to French Quarter resort. Just be prepared to walk since the resort is huge. It has 4 bus stops around the resort. Food court was good, but we liked going over to French Quarter food court for the Beignets.
