Project Vet Relief has truly been a blessing to me and my two children. During this COVID19 my refrigerator broke twice. Which means I lost our food both times. I was blessed to receive assistance with food from Project Vet Relief. Thanks a million times!

Do not ask for help bless you were an officer or if hey help you need is less than 200 and you can document a need beyond a shadow of doubt that without the help someone will actually die.

I recently fell on hard times during the holidays and asked for assistance with my electricity. Im an 100 percent disabled veteran and my husband doesnt work because of injury but is also a veteran. I gave them every document and waited a really long time and got denied. I even had to go to an American legion and prove my need to the commander. I still got denied truthfully I really needed the help and they made it seem like i was less deserving because im 100% I dont think thats fair at all. My income is fix and Im not making a fortune. Truthfully look else where for help cause they really dont help from what I can see in the comments.

This place is a joke for veterans and should be banned. What a disgrace to be told we are not a hand out program. I wouldn’t recommend.

My wife, our small child, granddaughter and myself as a Veteran needed desperate help and never ask. We were strangely treated rudely by a caseworker Jeremy Gottschalk, Who initially said “ We don’t just hand out money to people” My wife replied “ We are not asking for money, we need it to be given to the rental company so that we are not homeless.. please..I’m a hard worker and my husband served for 12 years.. Wnever ask for help” We tolerated Jeremy’s negative demeanor and provided every single document needed. We had 10 days to move and the new rental property agreed to comply with any request from Veterans Relief if they call ( which he called the old management company who is selling the house and needed us to leave by the 31rst. All we needed was the security balance for us to move in. My wife and I payed the intial deposit to the new property management company, and requested veterans relief to pay the second deposit so we don’t loose the initial and get denied which would cause us to end up in the streets. After tolerations of negativism from Jeremy and kindness from a helper named Marty we were certain that we won’t end up with loosing the deposit we made and end up homeless. The management company informed us that no one has called to inquire about the payment. Then sadly I don’t know where we was denied. This was such a disgrace and horrible experience
