We took a tour of the landfill today. They held a really fun and informative recycling event there. We got to take a bus all over the property with a knowledgeable tour guide. Beautiful view of the whole city from the top of the closed landfill mountain. The event had fun games for kids, free lunch and snow cones. Learned so much about what happens to our garbage.

Going by the holiday recycling calendar I received in the mail I did not put my recycle can out on New Year’s Day however, the truck did come around. Why did we get a letter showing the holiday calendar if they were still picking up.
