After last call security followed us to the parking lot and beat us up, took our phones when we tried to call 911. When we called 911, no one ever came as security pummeled us (one unconscious) a car picked them off and sped off. Cops never came after three calls to 911, our friend was bleeding and unresponsive.
The Mad Hatter is great! We visited for the first time after a UCF football game this past fall. Not only did we walk there from campus, when we arrived, a rager of a tailgate party was going on.. The drinks were cheap and the food was excellent! I ate the Mad Hatter burger w. a side of pickle chips. fuego!!
Service is slow even on a week night. Music was bad. Need to get a real dj! Why would you play country, 80s hits and hip hop all in one night?!! Lame. And saw the Bartenders drinking with customers...probably why service was slow...too drunk to pay attention to customers.
I won VIP tickets there for EDBD, but I almost didn't go because of the horrible ratings. The toilets were exploding with water and the big black security guard was standing in front us as we were walking out (wasn't there when we came in) seeming to wamt to intimidate us. The drinks were cheap cause of the prpmotion, but literally 15 people showed up through the night aa crowds went to the sports bar next door, sp obviously not a terribly popular place.
This was the worst experience ever!! i was HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to come to this bar and all i recieved was horrible service. it was time to close and i was pushed/escorted out and we wasnt even in the facitlity, we was on the patio. i dont recommend anyone who wants to have a good time to come to this place. i will make sure i will spread the word. I NEVER experienced something like this. The bouncers do not know how to act professional in a business setting...this place blows..8D..his name is tyrone.
If you're looking for that awesome college bar experience the Mad Hatter is for sure the place. I drove down from Georgia to visit some friends at UCF and there's nothing this fun in Athens!!!!!
says the hours of operation are 12-2am Sundays and yet I have been twice today and was not open. just want to retrieve my debit card. called twice, no answer. something is wrong here.
