This is the headquarters of Nkwerre Local Government Area. which is located at Mgbabo ano Nkwerre. Autonomous Communities in this Local Government includes; Nkwerre, Amaokpara, Eziama Obaire, Owerre Nkwoji, Umuwala, Umudi etc. This is where you obtain building permit, Certificate of origin and other things relating to administration.

It's one of the local government headquarters in Imo state. It was carved out of the old Nkwerre-Isu local government Area. And in recent times, Nwangele Local Government Area has been created from the old Nkwerre LGA. The idea of it's creation is for grassroots development, and to bring the dividends of democracy to the locals. Albeit, this is not always feasible this time because of corruption.
I attended a Customary wedding in Nkwerre over the holidays. I quite appreciate the good roads there.
It's quite a big place, if properly planned would be a Beautiful LGA headquarters
