Roy and Michele and everyone on the staff of Village Funeral Home made my father's passing so much easier for my family to bear that it is hard to fully put into words. As soon as Roy told my mom that he would bring my father's body back home to Ortonville a huge weight was lifted from her. Walking us through the process, helping us plan his remembrance, especially during the times of COVID-19 went wonderfully. Even spending time to speak with my mother, my sister, and myself about my father, and providing his own experiences, we are truly blessed to have Roy as our funeral director. Michele's guidance to my mother and her own story of loss and remembrance also made my mom's choices of how to remember my father so much easier and fulfilling. Roy and Michele somehow managed to make what should have been some of the hardest days of our lives into a truly enjoyable opportunity to celebrate the life my father had lived, and honored him in a way that he would be so proud of. I would trust Village Family Home with any of my loved ones, and I would suggest that anyone who has their own loved ones in their care to consider themselves blessed, because they're going to have a wonderful experience as well.

I can't say enough good about the treatment and care we received while preparing for, and during my father's funeral on January 4, 2020. The arrangements were handled in a very professional and personal manner, with care and attention to details along with consideration of financial details, and my family was not pressured. Caring, compassionate and dignified, Roy, Michelle and his staff were there to help every step of the way. During the funeral, they were always available professionally, yet seemed a part of the family - how they did that, I can't tell you, but they did! For that, my family is grateful.
Roy and the staff are fantastic. He's made some difficult times over the last few years easy to navigate. And is great to work with. Always goes above and beyond. Can't say enough. Other then I don't I want to see the guy as often as we have.
We were met with professionalism and care by the entire staff. I appreciate the fact that we were given many options for our loved one that were affordable and never felt as if we were being sold. The care and attention that was taken with our family was absolutely priceless. Roy made a difficult time much easier and really had my families interest first. I wish we didn't need places like this but when you do there are no better hands to be in than those of Roy and the staff at Village.
Very caring, professional, compassionate people. Services were over and above our expectations, delivered respectfully at the most difficult of times.
