Free with Osaka Amazing Pass. Though you will need to use your pass to redeem and book your boat riding time at the ticket booth which is direct opposite to the pier(same little building for the vending machines and the public toilets). I recommend to book your time slot before heading up the Osaka castle as the waiting time is normaly is a minimun of an hour and a half or more. Then, you can wisely your waiting time to claim the Osaka castle. Please don't be late on your way down as the boat will not wait for you even if you are just 5 mins late. Japanese is very strict on their time table.
The only downside is the weather! Summer heat is killing all the fun :( But the superb view made up for it!
