We pulled off on an exit ramp (36) to check map/ directions, when an Iowa State Trooper pulled up and asked if we were okay. Thank you for your care and concern and the job you do! We appreciate our law enforcers!

To give a traveler 135 dollar ticket for not wearing a seatbelt is cowardly , frivolous, and nitpicking .... and then to make that traveler sit in the police car next to the officer without a mask is the height of hypocrisy SHAME on you ! and I'm still waiting for the superior officer to respond to my email.

We ran out of gas on 35. We waited 2 hours for AAA. A kind patrolman waited with us when he found us. He sat at the crest of the hill to warn the traffic. When AAA still hadn't shown up after anotherhour, he offered to take me to a station to buy a can & bring back gas. What a wonderful example of a public servant! Thank you, Officer!

Today when the temperature was in the mid nineties my daughter was traveling across highway 34 in union county when she was pulled over for speeding. My granddaughters were in the car with her and the youngest was sick, nausea and diarrhea. She was trying to get to her destination in Souix Falls. SD. And probably was driving fast but not as fast as the officer said she was driving because she holds her children's life very dear. The officer was rude and not at all caring when she explained the situation. Her phone was not picking up and she had not been able to contact anyone to let them know she was having some trouble. He basically told her she should realize where she was instead of offering assistance. This is why officers are viewed like they are and now my granddaughters have this perception of police officers that are not helpful but hurtful. Is this how you want law abiding citizens treated? I sincerely hope not!

Now I got the correct Highway Patrol who runs Marion County you guys should be ashamed of yourselves the officer who stopped me didn't wear a seatbelt I was going 5 miles over the limit but that doesn't give him a right to have an attitude this District don't care about anyone but the top 2% that's why I moved out of Iowa I don't like the state patrol so now the officer who I dealt with should be reprimanded but this load of waste they're just there to collect more money to help for the tax breaks for the wealthy
