The Urban Legend Inspirator is a non-profit arm of The Urban Legend. The Urban Legend is a black superhero created by Josef Yohannes. The Urban Legend Inspirator was born out of the belief that through the Urban Legend super hero characters, millions of underprivileged children can improve their literacy skills, be inspired to get an education, and be motivated to become good citizens. Josef Yohannes is a Nelson Mandela Ambassador. The duty of an ambassador is to spread Mr. Nelson Mandela´s goals and vision and to preserve his legacy in the best way an ambassador can. We focus on children because they are those who are often forgotten, and whose voices are usually not heard. The ultimate goal of The Urban Legend Inspirator is see every under privilege child rise above his or her circumstances and achieve their dreams. The Urban Legend Inspirator we will focus on projects that: Improve literacy skills Increase awareness of relevant issues/challenges Provide access to education Provide nutrition/Improve livelihoods We shall also collaborate with organizations and companies that share our project focus and goals. For example: Providing access to education to a level that provides long lasting benefits Providing enough nutritious food to children Proving primary health care Working to help families generate sustainable income Providing easy access to clean water African kids until the creation of Urban Legend have never had an official superhero, unlike western Kids with Batman for example. The Urban Legend’s alter ego is the teacher Malcolm T. Madiba, named after Malcolm X, Yohannes’ father Tzegai, and Nelson Mandela. In Norway, the comic is part of the curriculum, and is featured in high school textbooks. It is also now featured in the USA’s biggest newspaper, USA today, which has more than 70 million readers monthly.
