Kansas Big Buck Outfitters is just what the name says. Rodney and Joe try to put everyone on a big buck . If you are looking for a place to kill big deer, this is it. Very knowledgeable staff who know how to hunt these deer if you are willing to listen and trust them. Remember, they want you to kill big bucks so you can tell your buddy about this place. Good food, nice lodge with private bedrooms, and lots of deer hunting stories. Eddie Hyatt

I'll start this review by saying while we share a last name, we are completely unrelated, so this isn't a family biased review. My experience with Kansas Big Buck Outfitters was amazing. All of their land is quality and holds crazy amounts of wildlife. I have never seen so many deer or turkey in my life. There are deer tracks, trails, rubs and scrapes everywhere. Other reviews that say Rodney and Joe save the good spots for themselves are simply uninformed. There are 10,000 phenomenal acres of land and Rodney and Joe only use 100 or 200 of that for themselves. They're extremely passionate hunters, of course they hunt on their own land. The reality is there are over 10,000 acres and all of it holds trophy game. Rodney and Joe are good and honest people, knowledgable hunters, and passionate outdoorsmen. I highly recommend this place to any real hunters.
This place is a scam. Rodney and his dad run the place and just want to tell you how great of hunters they are and how much they know and how terrible you are at hunting. They hunt themselves and save all the good deer for themselves. Basically this whole set up is a way to have great hunting land paid for by others. You may shoot a decent buck but the monsters are rare because it is over hunted and the good spots are saved for themselves. All the pictures of nice deer are ones they shot or close friends. Food was ok. Lodge is decent but the people are rude and the deer are average at best. Run correctly this place could do well. But after 4 days of hearing the same stories about how awesome they are and being threatened if you shoot too small of a deer I’ve had enough. Out of 6 hunters one killed a buck that was over 130 barely. Do not waste your money.
Here Nov 13 2020 killed a great buck this evening and have had a great hunt seeing lots of deer and a lot of up and coming bucks would recommend this outfitter to anyone wanting a great hunt.
I’ve been to Kansas Big Buck Outfitters on two occasions... once for Rio Grande Turkey and once for Whitetail. I’ve hunted all over the US and Canada. I can honestly say that Joe and Rodney Kelly run a top notch operation. We shot trophy Rio’s and trophy Whitetail on both trips. The accommodations are clean and comfortable, but the game numbers are out of this world ! The turkey numbers are spectacular and I couldn’t believe the number, size, and quality of true trophy Whitetail they have ! A hunter’s paradise with thousands of acres of private ground. I highly recommend Kansas Big Buck Outfitters to anyone interested in a quality experience and a fantastic deer or turkey hunt.
