This is really a must see place if you came to Otaru. It feels like you are in another world. There are some very old gramophone, radio, and various music related stuff, with English and Japanese explanation. A part from that, you can see a million of elaborated music box in a lovely atmosphere. It feels really magical

Rightfully the fairytale-like world of music. There's a steam clock at the building entrance. Upon entering you will see numerous cute music boxes (literally in all shapes and designs). You can have a look at antiques. There are a lot of options to buy pretty gifts. You must visit this place in Otaru.

Beautiful store. So many options. A large shop that specializes in music boxes and handmade trinkets. It is beautiful inside and there are 1000’s of things for you to choose from. I wasn’t too interested in going but my wife really wanted to and I ended up having a great time. If you’re visiting they can ship your purchase directly from the store back to home. The music boxes are beautiful and range from simple to extravagant.

My favorite place in Otaru! classic, chic, great lighting, great music boxes. Ceramic and wood lacquered types with great designs and different melodies. Stayed here quite a while since I cannot decide what to buy. Finally bought a classic glass type with a Japanese design. Although the music boxes are expensive, I guess it shows how much value Japan places into this craft.

Worth a visit and you may wonder inside this warehouse for a day if you are music box fans. Free entrance and it has warsroom inside. Most of the time crowded with people. For those who bring their children, please ensure they don't run here and there as once the item broken, it's consider sold.
